I am pleased to announce that TFCC has recently completed the purchase of a recovery house in Tillamook and has agreed to partner with Oxford House, Inc to support the implementation of their recovery housing model in Tillamook County. Supported with funds from the Oregon Legislature (Senate Bill 1530), this initiative will serve up to 6 men in recovery within a home located at 3605 Walnut Lane, Tillamook.
Oxford House is supportive self-help housing for individuals recovering from substance use disorder. Individuals living in an Oxford House learn or relearn values and responsible behavior to ensure/support a structured and comfortable sobriety. Applicants are voted in by the house members. Members govern themselves, elect officers, and hold regular house meetings. Members work, pay their rent and collaborate with household duties and the expenses to run a household. It is important to note that Oxford House Tillamook is here to serve Tillamook County and is not singularly a provider for referrals from TFCC.
Oxford House Tillamook is just getting established officially as of August 15th, 2025. During this start-up period, an on-site Outreach Worker has been assigned, Dustin Blake. Dustin will be residing at the site and engaging in a number of outreach activities here in the community (for example, connecting with provider agencies and recovery groups) . If you are seeking more information or want to make referrals, I want to encourage you to please move ahead and contact Dustin directly at 503.313.8365.
